Q & Wa’s Cat

Family Portrait

Feng Q and Wa Chin approached me to create a custom illustration that depicts the story of their beloved cat, Haypan, and themselves. They found her straying on the street in Taipei under a full moon night. It has been 8 years since they met each other.

After 2.5 Years

I received a very touching e-mail from Feng Q.

Dear Peichi,

Look your illustration is beautifully placed in my living room(attached photo)! Haypan left us 1 year ago on April’s Fool. I was going to write a letter to you but I didn’t because I couldn’t cope with the pain of losing her.

The second day after she died, we printed out your lovely illustration and framed it. It is placed at the best spot, which we can see almost everywhere in the house. We feel it is one of the happiest things ever.

We’re glad that we met you and you created the illustration to memorize the image and story of our time. Working with you was truly like a breeze. And it gave us extremely warm memory.

Dear Peichi,
